How to create outdoor flower baskets from silk flowers? - flower pot arrangements

I would like to create some flower arrangements to complete silk flowers for use outside of the game and the gate to the real flowers. I have great success when presented in glasses (though) I regularly dump rainwater, but I want to create mechanisms, such as flower baskets and pots. I do not know what I use to anchor the flowers are not rotten or ruined by the rain, but not too much to bear. I know that the interior has a sort of foam or similar material, but was not sure whether it meets.

Suggestions?
